What is a Tip?
A Tip is a test and repair procedure for a known issue with a certain vehicle (year, make, model, and engine).
A tip includes specific information about symptoms, related codes, test procedure(s), cause of failure and the correction.
The tips are designed to be straight forward and help you to quickly find known problems specific to the car
you are working on.
How do I find a tip?
Enter the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle you are searching on.
If there are symptoms in the list then click on the one that most closely matches your symptom.
If there are any trouble codes stored in the computer then enter them in the Code field.
Note If the code is ‘P0125’ Make sure to use the ‘P’ don’t use ‘0125’ or ‘P125’.
What is the best search procedure?
For the most accurate results you should put in a trouble code number and symptom.
If you have a trouble code you should always include it in your search.
Including a symptom in your search will refine the exact matches but some matches may be moved to the fuzzy matches
if they don’t match the symptom you entered.
What is an Exact Match?
A search result will be in the Exact Match box if it matches the exact year, make, model, engine, code and symptoms selected.
What is a Fuzzy Match?
A Fuzzy Match will display results that match some but not all of your search criteria. For example it may display a result from a different car with the same engine or the same car but a different year than your search criteria.
Does the forum have a separate login?
Yes, the forum has a separate login, however it uses the same username and password as your D-tips account. You must sign in to post in the forum.
How Do I change or cancel my account
Most common account maintenance can be done through the "My Account" section of the tool box.
Anything from upgrading your account to canceling your account can be easily and quickly handled online in the in the
My Account Section.
Refund Policy
Please note that cancellation is effective immediately. No prorating or refund is offered on unused days.
If you decide to reactivate your account at a later date you will have to complete the account billing setup again. Because D-tips.com
only offers services there are no goods to return for a refund.
